Home cells: Spiritual warfare

Be prepared for spiritual warfare

The importance of spiritual warfare

Reflect on how to treat people. We are called to be servants and to serve, not to be served. Of course, when others serve, there is a chance that you will be the one receiving service. See it as someone else doing their bit for the Kingdom of God, and appreciate it. At all times, refer to your own commitment: Isaiah 6:8; and Acts 9:6.

Are you willing to serve?

8Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. – Isaiah 6:8

The prophet immediately responded positively.

If you are willing to serve, what happens first?

6And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. – Acts 9:6

There is the requirement to wait for proper instruction.

  1. We are involved in a spiritual war. Are you aware of that? See Ephesians 6:10-18; and 2 Corinthians 10:35. How do you understand these scriptures?
  2. Read Ephesians 3:10 and discuss the following: “to be made known by the church” Do you think that the church is aware of this task?
  3. Take a look at the past and note the following: Ezekiel 37:1-14.
    1. Make sure of what you see – note verse 2.
    2. Your understanding of “prophesy to these bones” in verse 4, 7, and 9.
    3. Can you trust God for the impossible?
    4. We are living in the last days, and this is why many expect to hear what they want to hear: 2 Timothy 4:3-4.
  4. Discuss John 10:11-14. How can we apply this? What about you?

Memory verse: Ezekiel 22:30

Homework

Study the following scriptures: Ezekiel 13:1-23; Jeremiah 23:9-40 and 27:14-15; and Jeremiah 28:9 and 15; and 2 Timothy 4:3-4. These verses focus on false prophets and on what to expect in the last days.

How do you counteract false teaching that may have entered your home cell via someone else?
